Hartsdale, NY February 16, 2004--WEDDING FANTASIES: A NEW APPROACH TO WEDDING PLANNING
Think of it as Wedding Planning 101 where you the bride-to-be, have the opportunity to hear from leading experts on the most important topics as they pertain to your wedding. Imagine a place where you can meet and greet industry experts and get precious tips to make your wedding "ultra special." No, you are not dreaming, this is Wedding Fantasies 2004. Wedding Fantasies 2004 will take place on February 21, 2004 at Estherwood Mansion in Dobbs Ferry, New York from 10am to 5pm. This one day event promises to educate brides-to-be to and in the process help them with their wedding planning.
The event is the brainchild of Indulgence, Event Management & Public Relations a boutique-sized firm with locations in Hartsdale and New York City. Vanessa Wakeman, CEO of Indulgence states, "We speak with brides all the time during the wedding planning process. Many brides are overwhelmed by all of the details that are involved in planning a wedding as well as whom to use for a particular service. As a result, the brides grow more frustrated during what is already a stressful process. We thought that by putting a twist on the traditional trade show and offering individualized workshops, the brides would be better prepared for the planning months ahead."
All of the vendors participating in Wedding Fantasies were selected by Indulgence and their sponsors. Vendor participation is by invitation only. Mrs. Wakeman says, "There are many excellent vendors in the New York area, but we really want to create an intimate feel for the show so we have limited the exhibitors to a very small number to allow the attendees to better acquaint themselves with the service providers. For an upscale show of this nature, factors like the venue, participating exhibitors and speakers are essential to the success of the event."
The major highlights of the show are the wedding clinics; interactive workshops with top industry experts. Attendees will have an opportunity to hear the gospel from one of today's hottest wedding and event designers, Preston Bailey. Mr. Bailey is a regular guest on the Oprah and Martha Stewart television shows and is known for his ability to transform any space into a magical paradise through his unique event and floral designs. Other workshops include a Buff Bride clinic by Equinox where brides are encouraged to take off their shoes and exercise. Westchester Wine Warehouse will host A Journey in Wine a wine tasting of various selections at different price points. The Bridal Registry at Fortunoff will showcase pieces from their vast collection and help brides-to-be navigate the registry process. Modern Bride will treat attendees to a 1-1 discussion with one of their Editors. All of the Wedding Clinics will have a Q&A at the end; attendees are encouraged to bring their questions and a note pad. There will also be two fashion shows featuring real brides modeling wedding gowns by Bonaparte NY. A full schedule of events can be found at www.indulgenceny.com/wf.
Lucky brides can also win prizes which run the gamut from a one-month membership at Equinox including a session with a personal trainer to a honeymoon hotel package from Leading Hotels of the World. As a courtesy to attendees, Indulgence has scheduled limousine shuttle service from the Dobbs Ferry, Metro-North station and back, courtesy of Silver Star Limousine. Brides can schedule their pick-up and drop-off when they pre-register.
Admission is $15 if you pre-register and $20 at the door. A portion of all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Foundation for Living & Loving Life, enabling women to embrace life after cancer treatments www.livinganlovinglife.org.
